The linux-streams mailman list previously of gsyc.escet.urjc.es
has been restored at openss7.org.
Cool. Sounds like Francisco and company have had some luckhas been restored at openss7.org.
finding backups since I spoke to them. Since the announcement
of the new LiS release was only to those who had posted items
to the list, I'll repeat it to the larger, original LiS group
now.
New Release
-----------
I have put on our ftp site a new version of LiS. It is based
on LiS 2.18.0. It incorporates the changes that Paul Landay
previously posted as patches as well several other changes
required for Linux 2.6 systems. It also includes fixes for
several bugs which caused hangs or the halting of streams
processing on SMP systems.
In order to avoid confusion with the openss7.org branch, I have
moved the version number up to 2.19.0.
The file may be downloaded from ftp.wanware.com in the pub/LiS
directory.
I have tested the release on combinations of 2.4/2.6, x86/PPC,
SuSE 10/Redhat EL4 (and updates)/Fedora Core 4,5 and uP/SMP.
(Noted since that FC5 kernel update 2.6.17 is unsupported. To
be added at a future release.)
Please address any questions/problems to this mailing list.
Regards,
Steve
